Chocolate Crêpes with Fruit and Greek Yogurt

So this morning I was feeling a bit creative and hungry, and in my opinion, those two things together, make for some delicious treats. So as I was eating I snapped a photo and decided to share the recipe with all of you.

Ingredients

1 Cup whole wheat flour
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup chocolate milk
1/2 Cup water
1/4 Tsp salt
2 Tbsp melted margarine
1/4 Cup frozen blueberries
Small handful of raspberries
1-2 Tbsp Oikos Key Lime Greek yogurt

In a bowl, combine flour, eggs, chocolate milk, water, salt, and melted margarine
whisk until smooth.
heat up a frying pan with just a drop of oil. spread evenly around the bottom of the frying pan. Once the pan is heated, pour in 1/4 cup of your crêpe batter into the center of the pan, use a spoon to move the batter to thin out your crêpe and to help create an eve circle. After 40 seconds, flip your crêpe and wait another 40 seconds and it's done! Continue these steps until all your batter is gone.

Once you're done, take your blueberries and heat them up until completely thawed. while your waiting for them to thaw, add your Greek yogurt to your crêpe and raspberries. Then add your blueberries and drizzle the juice around the entire plate.

Next you'll want to snap a few photos, share them and then dig in!

St. Patrick's Day Drinks!

As you know St. Patrick's day is on Tuesday and all that means for a good percent of  adults is "Yes! An excuse to get drunk mid week!" Or maybe I'm the only one saying that? Haha

Anyway I thought I'd type out a few green drink recipes that I've tried and liked and i hope you enjoy them too. All of these drinks contain alcohol but I will include 1 that  doesn't. So lets get started!

Green Beer

This is so simple to make. slowly pour your beer into a mug and add 4 drops of (obviously) green food colouring. Voila. Done. Just me mindful when drinking anything with food colouring, there is a chance your teeth will be tinged green!

Mixed Drinks

So this one is simple too and requires any type of clear alcohol and clear, yellow, or green mix. I'd choose vodka and 7-Up and add in my food colouring, but this will work with Malibu rum, patron, or even white wine!

Vodka Slime

Another easy drink to make is this one. All you need is cherry vodka and frozen lime juice mix. I always purchase the minute made brand and make the juice while its still frozen. I mix the vodka and water with the juice and continue to stir until the juice has completely blended with the water and vodka. I only do this so the drink is cold and no one has to wait for it. Half a cup to one cup of vodka will be more than enough for this drink, depending on how strong you like your drinks.

 Green Wine

Grab your favourite white wine, poor a glass and add a few drops of food colouring. I always find this fun to drink, especially in a wine glass. I always feel weirdly sophisticated and extremely fun all at once. if you like white wine, you really can't go wrong with this.

Green Apple Sangria

By far my favourite drink is this one. Grab a pitcher, slice up some cucumbers, green apples, Kiwi, and grapes. throw them into the pitcher with one or two bottles of Barefoot Moscato. (Depending on the size of your pitcher) Add in either club soda or 7-Up and a splash of triple sec or green apple vodka, maybe some food colouring and garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy!

Non Alcoholic Sangria

In a large pitcher add in 7-Up, frozen minute maid lime juice, slices of apple, kiwi, grapes, and cucumbers, add a splash of lime grenadine, stir and enjoy!

So like I said earlier, I've tried and loved each one of these drinks and I really hope you do too! If you try any of these you HAVE to let me know what you think!

Remember to always drink responsibility and have a great St. Patrick's Day!

Spring Cleaning!

I don't know if ya'll have noticed but the snow is MELTING!!! If you're reading this and you don't have snow where you are......well I'm envious.

There is something so satisfying about knowing the snow is going away, maybe it's because I know the trees and grass are going to be green in a matter of a few weeks, and the weather is just going to keep getting better. What ever it is, I'm excited and I can't wait!

Spring reminds us all of fresh, new, and clean beginnings so I thought I'd share with you a few little ways to welcome the new season and how to make the most of the exciting feeling were all having for this weather!

1. Open the curtains!
Let the sun in and feel it's warmth on your skin!
2.Eat cleaner!
Spring is clean and refreshing! your diet should be too. chop up some veggies and fruit and munch out!
3. Exercise!
Yeah I know.... But come on,  spring is all about transformations and new beginnings and you should be a part of that
4. Go through your clothes
Revamp that wardrobe and donate your old clothes..you know the ones you said you'd wear again but never did. ;)
5.Cut your hair or get new make-up
Change is good! get with the season!
6.Pamper yourself!
Moisturize! Winter is a dry season, get a head start on healthier skin!
7.Evaluate your skin care!
Have a fresh start with cleaner skin, revamp your routine!
8.Clean your social media's.
delete the people that do more harm than good. You're news feeds should be filled with positivity and knowledge not rants about getting the wrong fast food order or how your parents suck and "they just don't get it". Ain't nobody got time for that!
9.Clean your mind!
make an effort everyday to start fresh. Smile and think positive and you'll be surprised just how much better you're days become.
10.Open your windows!
Let the fresh air in. take it in and enjoy it. Winter is almost gone! Welcome spring into your home as soon as you can.

So these are just the small ways I prepare for spring in my life and mind. If you have anything to add let me know because I'm always interested in knowing what everyone else does to welcome ad embrace the great weather.
If you were interested in making a few changes, I hope this gave you a few ideas and inspiration. As always let me know what you though in the comments below!

Happy spring time, everyone!
